Where do your loyalties lie? We may be rather on the Dark side, but we welcome you all. Hogwarts students, Professors, Shopkeepers and elves, Death Eaters and Aurors and more!
Who will you choose to be...?

Our plot started after the 'Half Blood Prince' episode and is now at the Deathly Hallows stage. We are following our own plot but it will have some canon parallels with the last book. We recommend you read all the books before roleplaying here, but you are not absolutely required to read last book beforehand, since we write our own plots. We would like to give you a general spoiler warning anyway.

Harry and Co. are 19/20 years old, meaning they are no longer students at Hogwarts, and the Wizarding World is becoming a Darker Place. People are still doubting Harry Potter and his popularity is flagging, but there is a race to find one of the Hallows and the remaining Horcruxes. What part will you play in our story? Please read along this side table to help you learn more about the site and the plotlines.

If you do not want to roleplay, you are still very welcome - please do still read The Decrees first, then make your way over to the Witching Hour and join in with our OOC chat! You can also join in with our competitions and games, and our Duelling game too if you wish. We also have special non rp roles, like editing and writing, if you are interested.

Part I: 'Novus Universitas'

Lord Voldemort has taken over Azkaban, cloaking it invisible and turning it into a private base and training grounds for the Death Eaters. Meanwhile, the Ministry are failing to bring calm back to the Wizarding World and Harry is still refusing to help them. The Order are frantically recruiting and the trio are trying to persuade the Order to train up the DA to boost the Auror count and Harry's protection.

Voldemort is now seeking the Elder Wand and Harry is still yet to learn of the Hallows. Harry and his friends need to work quickly before it's too late and before Voldemort manages even more of a grip over the increasingly frail Wizarding World...

MUGGLES DEVELOP WEAPONS
Alarming discoveries have been made of a plan for Muggles to assist You-Know-Who against all right-minded witches and wizards. A reporter happened upon something the Muggles call the "interwebs", a network somewhat like the Floo System contained in metal boxes that connects one supporter to the next. Through this interwebs, we have learned that Muggles have developed an unstoppable weapon that most wizards would fail to spot before being murdered by this thing that should not be. The beast was originally something called a "hamster", which we are lead to believe is some 2 metres tall, but quite docile. However, after years of experimental breeding which is still legal under Muggle Law, they have created a half hamster, half weapon creature that could decimate our numbers. They call it the "Killer Hamster", and we have managed to find a very disturbing image of the creature. Witches and wizards everywhere are advised to avoid this creature wherever and whenever possible, and also told to report any sightings to the Ministry. Please be warned, the photo is quite distressing, and may be especially alarming to younger children.

HALLOWEEN CELEBRATIONS
Despite rising fear and uncertainty in our world, the Ministry of Magic have approved Halloween celebrations to continue as normal throughout the country, with what they are describing as "sensible and essential safety precautions" to be taken by wizards everywhere. An explanatory pamphlet will be issued to all houses, with warnings, tips and protective spell examples detailed within. The overwhelming message is one of "have fun, take care and stay safe".

CURSE LIFTED AFTER FOUR YEARS
After a "Misuse of Muggle Artifacts" raid gone awry four years ago, former Ministry worker Dominic MacDougall (since the raid on administrative sick leave with full pay) has had a set of sugar tongs permanently stuck to his nose. Describing the ordeal as "ghastly" and "hell on my social life", Mr. MacDougall was freed from his suffering by drinking Horklump tea, and old witches' remedy suggested by a visiting friend. Mr. MacDougall is said to now be in excellent health, and is expected to return to work in the near future. The sugar tongs have been retained by the Ministry in a top secret cell in the Department of Mysteries to ensure nothing like this ever happens again.

LOST FIFI LAFOLLE BOOK SURFACES <;br> Until recently, the final installment in Fifi Lafolle's Enchanted Encounters series had been thought to be lost forever. Only yesterday, the lost book was found in an old sweetie box belonging to the late, great Madam Lafolle, featuring the series' most endearing characters, Mr. D'arby and Eissabeta, his German pirate warrior princess erstwhile lover having many more adventures and conflicts, with sexy results! The book is set to go on sale next month, and is expected to be a bestseller for the busy Christmas shopping period.
